Introducing Chrisanthi Kaliviotis, a journalist, copywriter, brand consultant and creator across fashion, beauty, travel and lifestyle. She is currently a freelance travel journalist, copywriter and mum. Chrisanthi offers a glimpse into her carefully curated approach to personal style, the inspirations that drive her, and the exciting projects she's currently bringing to life.
Hello, I’m Chrisanthi. I wear many hats and have a penchant for plate spinning, but I’m currently a freelance travel journalist, copywriter and mum to Gigi, 1. She’s the best boss I’ve ever had and, surprisingly, not the toughest (I worked in publishing for many years!).
I’m heavily influenced by mood and place; where I am or how I feel generally informs my style (when I travel, I dress according to the city or town I’m in). But my style has taken somewhat of a subtle turn post-baby. As a new mum who is still breastfeeding, comfort and functionality have definitely come to the fore and my overall approach is a little more classic and considered (even a touch preppy). In saying that, I’ve always embraced bold fashion with gusto — be it colour, silhouette or fabrication — and I still love a bit of glamour, particularly when it comes to occasion dressing (I am a Leo, after all). And while suiting and structure will always have my heart, there is nothing quite like a fabulous dress.
A little all over the shop (like me): playful, polished, extroverted, extreme, and a little naughty.
I'm a perfectionist and it's truly terrible. I to-and-fro endlessly with copy; making midnight edits, lamenting the words I should have used, revising over and over again.
"I sweat the smallest of stuff and am proficient in procrastination, so finding focus is one of the biggest challenges I face."
Couple that with a bad case of baby brain and a bossy 1 year old and it's a recipe for disaster! I usually just have to set aside blocks of time and almost lock myself in the study. What drives me? Deadlines!

What: Substack, I’ve just joined and it’s an endless well of inspiration that feels inherently cooler and more authentic than other platforms — and without the relentless advertising and branded content.
Where: Greece is always on my mind. I'm currently planning a trip mid-year so I'm deep in the throes of holiday-inspired research...
Who: It may be cheesy, but my daughter, Gigi. She is the coolest, carefree, sassiest little lady.
This is a bit of a tricky one, as I really value a well-curated, considered feed and aesthetic. I loved the initial “art” of Instagram, before the chaos of videos and advertising came into play. That being said, I know it can all be a bit too contrived sometimes. My rule is usually to reveal a bit more of my personality in Stories and in captions and keep the Feed looking relatively sleek ‘n’ chic (just for my own obsessiveness, really).
Very, very late to the party, but I’m about to launch my Substack, Too Many Tabs. It’s hot, messy, humorous takes on motherhood, style, travel and everything in between.
"My partner Sam and I are also in the midst of relaunching our Greek merch brand, Savvas Says, who has been on a very Greek-style (long) sabbatical. Watch this space!"

When I lived in Sydney, it was always swimming in the ocean. There is nothing quite as cathartic as submerging yourself in the sea — it’s the ultimate antidote to the chaos of life. Nowadays, I’m Melbourne-based, so I’ve swapped the sea for the trees, which means going on nature walks along the river near the Collingwood Children’s Farm. I also try and do Pilates when I can. And it may sound strange (I think mums will understand this), but a long, hot shower is a cure-all.
I think travel in general is the ultimate education. Nothing widens your eyes more than a new place and culture; it’s a learning like no other.
I’ve also learnt that I love a swanky hotel and being a travel journalist gives you a dangerous taste of a life you can’t afford! Haha, no, but it has made me realise that where you stay is incredibly important in shaping a trip; it needn’t be the fanciest place but it just has to have something (and be in the right spot).

Having space, for one! I’ve moved around a lot recently so just having ample space to work with is a blessing. But a few key pieces that anchor the overall aesthetic, along with some sentimental treasures and fresh flowers, of course. A renowned Greek architect once told me all you need is a good bed, good linen and a window with beautiful light. I love that.
